“The image I show in this painting is a representation of human identity as the result of a series of opposing internal forces in constant motion.
Taking into account the tensions and contradictions we experience as individuals in a rapidly changing modern society, I present this abstract and poetic portrait. In the face of the social challenges of recent years, I want to reflect the fragmentation of individual identity, which has to be able to recompose itself in order to find meaning and adapt to change.
The loss of old reference points or the search for new values prevents us from establishing a unitary idea of our identity, and the portrait as a genre is an excellent way of conceptualising this in images.
In my work, I want to show the sense of struggle and the search for balance: the acceptance of the chaotic, the absurd and the beautiful in one and the same thing, if possible, with a touch of irony.”
